Thousands of Arkansas residents remained without power after storms caused widespread outages across the state. At the height of the outages, about 50,000 customers were without electricity statewide, but this number had significantly decreased by Monday evening. Outages were still reported in Montgomery, Yell, Hot Springs, and Saline County, with Saline being among the hardest hit. Despite efforts to restore service, residents have been frustrated by shifting restoration estimates. The outage could cause financial strain if refrigerated food spoils.
