Sony has clarified its Digital Rights Management (DPR) system on PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 consoles, which reportedly requires a one-time online check to confirm a game's license. This has led to concerns that gamers who don't sign in every month would lose access to their games. However, Sony has assured that players can continue playing their purchased games as usual. The issue was first reported by content creator Modded Hardware on April 24th and subsequent screenshots showed a 30-day timer on PlayStation Store purchases made after March 2026. The change has raised concerns about ownership rights for digital games.
