Purdue may have gotten away with a foul on the game-winning tip-in from Texas' Dailyn Swain, securing a 79-77 victory over the Longhorns in the Sweet 16. The referees let the game continue, which is usually called for in such situations. Some argued that Kaufman-Renn got away with one of the fouls. This decision was made more lenient than any other decision made regarding the game. The officials called 18 fouls on Texas in the game, compared to 14 on No. 2 seed Purdue.
