Four people have been arrested in a massive theft bust in Norwalk, Los Angeles, after police discovered over $500,000 worth of stolen catalytic converters. The investigation began in July 2025 following an increase in catalytic converter thefts across the city. The suspects were identified through shared intelligence and resources among local sheriff’s and police departments. On March 31, authorities conducted an enforcement operation at a property where around 1,800 suspected stolen converters were being illegally purchased and stored. Four suspects were arrested at the scene for selling and purchasing suspected stolen catalysts, and four vehicles were seized as evidence.
