The African American Museum in Evansville, Indiana, hosted its annual 7+1 event to celebrate the arrival of new exhibits. The event included exhibits from the 250th anniversary of America to exhibits about the trials and triumphs of people from the area who have had careers in Hollywood. Artists from all over the country also attended the event to share their experiences. The museum's Curator, Tory Schendel-Byboda, said the event is about storytelling and showcasing the diverse and dynamic of the African American community. The new exhibits will be displayed until the end of the year.
