Hundreds show up to Portland clown march, in silly day of joyous protest

JoJo Ruby, a former clown named Raggs, organized a parade of hundreds of clowns in Portland last April to protest against President Donald Trump's re-election. The movement has since grown steadily, with clown picnics in Laurelhurst Park and a clown bike ride planned for August in protest of the federal immigration crackdown. Most of the attendees were already dressed as clowns, but any non-clowns could join the parade. The second annual clown festival featured a variety of costumes, including costumes from hand-me-downs, Amazon and Temu.
