According to a source, a Vance official, he had informed the vice president of his intention to leave in December but had it postponed several months to ensure a smooth transition. This comes amid criticism of the US's relationship with Israel, with some arguing that President Donald Trump has been acting in Israeli interests rather than American ones. Laura Loomer, a far Right Jewish activist, said Buckley's departure was a positive for JD Vance's 2028 Presidential campaign.
