Pro-ICE Student Wins Fight with School, Suspension Expunged Thanks to Civil Rights Group

A San Diego-area school district has removed its suspension for a student who created flyers supporting federal immigration enforcement. The student had been suspended in February after posting the flyers at a school in support of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). The Foundation for Individual Rights and Expression (FIRE) intervened and the school suspended the student, despite the fact they were placed in a common area where other political flyers had been posted previously. The school agreed to remove the suspension after securing representation from FIRE.
