Ana Cisek, a Penn-bound senior, has taken over at shortstop for Andrew High School this season with a take-charge attitude. She has been instrumental in producing a promising start to the season for the young Thunderbolts, hitting.423 with seven runs, three doubles and eight RBIs. Despite starting at second base last season, she has not made an error at shortstop. Her position was previously filled by current Texas freshman MaTaia Lawson. Ciseik and her coach, Alyssa Gunther, have been praised as a keystone combo for their performance by the team and their performance. Cisesk also leaves Andrew with the all-time girls basketball single-season record for 3-pointers.
