China is expected to develop national standards for post-quantum cryptography in the next three years, according to Wang Xiaoyun, a leading expert in the field. The country's five-year plan includes the development of quantum technology and the goal of developing a scalable quantum computer. Finance and energy are expected to be the key sectors for migration to this form due to the sensitive nature of data. The U.S. has also announced its first set of post-Quantum cryptography standards in 2024 and aims to achieve full industry migration by 2035.
