Iran executes three individuals arrested over January protests, state media

Iran has executed three men convicted of murdering two police officers during protests earlier this year. The men were convicted of "Moharebeh" (waging war against God), which they claim were carried out in the name of Israel and the United States. The sentences were upheld by the Supreme Court. The execution took place in the religious city of Qom. The Iranian government has accused foreign adversaries, including Israel, the U.S., of involvement in the unrest which was repressed in the largest crackdown in its history.
