Netflix co-CEO Ted Sarandos recently promised to maintain a 45-day exclusive window to PVOD for Warner Bros' titles, despite pressure from the industry and media over their handling of Warner Bros. The company has two big titles on their slate, including David Fincher's Once Upon a Time in Hollywood sequel, The Adventures of Cliff Booth, and Greta Gerwig's Narnia, which would make ideal wide theatrical releases. Netflix Film Chairman Dan Lin stated that the company's strategy of streaming first works well for them and that they are not afraid of competition, but are looking to do special things in theatrical. They also mentioned a content budget of $20 billion this year and that their focus is on building films with prestige and acquiring more than half of them.
