Rex Heuermann, the man charged with seven of the Gilgo Beach murders on Long Island, is expected to plead guilty to the charges on April 8, according to a source. He was arrested in July 2023 and initially charged with three counts of first-degree murder, but now stands accused of killing seven women. His arrest came as police were investigating the deaths of at least 10 people, mostly female sex workers, whose remains were found during searches along Long Island's Gilgo beach. Despite maintaining his innocence in the slayings and previously pleading not guilty, His trial was set to begin in September.
