Published on March 30, 2026.
The full pink moon, the fourth of 13 full moons in 2026, will turn full on April 1, 2026. Named for the pink phlox wildflowers that bloom at this time of year in North America, this full moon will rise during dusk and then shine close to a bright star one day after it's full. The moon will officially be officially full at 10:13 p.m. EDT and 7:13p. PDT on Wednesday (April 1), best seen in the east at the time of moonrise where you are. This year's pink moon is also called the paschal moon, meaning Easter in Western Christian tradition. The next full moon on May 1 will follow the same calendar month when a full moon rises on May 31.
