Artificial intelligence (AI) is already making a significant impact on student learning and teaching on college campuses across the country, helping students brainstorm ideas, break down complex topics, and improve writing. However, there are concerns that AI may inadvertently misrepresentate students' content, leading to an inability to learn. Suzanne Tapp, associate vice provost for teaching and learning, said that when used with integrity, AI can make learning more accessible and efficient. Tapp also highlighted that there is no one size fits all approach for AI use in the classroom, with faculty having agency based on their goals for their classes. The university is working to support faculty with training and resources to adapt to the rapidly changing technology.
