The jury in the case of Walker, a 21-year-old student at UAB, failed to reach a verdict on the count of first-degree rape (consent), resulting in a mistrial and a not guilty verdicts on two counts of sodomy. The victim, now 27 years old, still suffers from Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), was sexually assaulted at her apartment in February 2023.
