Qatar's Doha Film Institute (DFI) has moved its annual project and talent incubator Qumra meeting online due to the ongoing U.S.-Israel-Iran war, which has spread into the entire Gulf region and beyond. The 12th edition of Qumura, which had been set to take place in Doha from 27 March to 1 April 2026, will focus on private one-on-one mentorship sessions for selected projects. The decision was made to ensure the safety and wellbeing of guests, projects, and team. This follows growing international condemnation and consternation at the joint Israeli-U.S. military campaign on Iran, which began on February 28.
