Authorities are still searching for American woman, Lynette Hooker, who disappeared while on a trip to the Bahamas with her husband. The Royal Bahamas Police Force (RBPF) has stated that extensive search-and-rescue operations have been conducted since the incident, including those conducted by the Royal Bahamas Defence Force, Local Fire & Rescue Teams, the Bahamas Air Sea Rescue Association (BASRA), and the United States Coast Guard. The Department of State is cooperating with Bahamian officials regarding an American who went missing near Elbow Cay in the Abacos. Brian Hooker allegedly told police that Lynette fell overboard with the boat keys and was carried away by strong currents.
