The founders of the United States have long advocated for impeachment against rogue state judges in red states, arguing that the power of impeachment is a deterrent against a corrupt judiciary from redefining the Constitution. This comes after the Utah Supreme Court upheld a district court opinion that effectively stripped the legislature of its authority to draw maps and used a map drawn by left-wing groups to create a Democrat House seat in urban Salt Lake City. While Republicans have a 61-14 majority in the state House, Rep. Trevor Lee (R), a supporter of impeachment, suggests that they have only 30-40 votes in support of impeachment and only a handful of conservatives who would convict Judge Diana Hagen in the Senate. However, by his count, Republicans have the numbers to impeach and remove rogue judges in 20 states.
