WNBA player Rickea Jackson of the Los Angeles Sparks has filed for a protective order against ex-boyfriend James Pearce of the Atlanta Falcons, expressing fears about her safety. Pearce, who is facing five felony charges related to an incident involving Jackson on Feb. 7, is accused of threatening to kill her, injure her, and place a bag over her head. Jackson alleges that Pearce's threats towards her began before the incident, and she ended their relationship after Pearce offered her $75,000 to visit him and $200,000 for remaining in a relationship with him.
