Eric Valencia, a 26-year-old man, was found dead in an unlocked out-of-service patrol car outside of the Azusa police station on Thursday morning. Police confirmed that he was not in custody and they were unaware he had entered the car. The car was due for maintenance and was not currently in active use. An independent investigation is underway to determine how it was left unlocked.
