The latest Analogue 3D update, Version 1.2.5, has added "Advanced HDR" features to the FPGA N64 patch that enhance the retro console's original display filters. The advanced HDR features are designed for OLED displays, which Analogue says requires high peak localized brightness. The update allows each pixel to have the same punch as an old tube TV. Users will need to adjust the Analogue's new "Max. Luminance" display settings to achieve this. The new HDR features also improve library responsiveness and support for specific games. However, there are still concerns about the promised features of the new version 3D, which have not yet been implemented.
