Swansea police are investigating a report that a second-grade student may have brought a handgun to an elementary school and showed it to at least two other students. A K-9 unit from the school conducted a thorough search and found no weapons or ammunition. The police also obtained a warrant to search a house in the town for five firearms, which were not registered and stored unsecured. They plan to charge two residents with weapons-related offenses.
