Oklahoma football linebacker Taylor Heim is expected to take on a larger role in his fourth year with the team. He is competing for a starting position at either cheetah or inside linebacker for the Sooners. Heim, along with James Nesta, has been mentored by teammates Kendal Daniels and Kip Lewis to help him progress. The coaching staff expects Heim to step up to fill the void left by departing depth. At 6-foot-5, 225 pounds, Heim projects as a hybrid linebacker (cheetah) in Venables' system and could play both cheetahs and inside linebacker.
