Shipping traffic around Antwerp port partially halted after oil spill

The Port of Antwerp, Belgium, has halted shipping operations due to an oil spill that has spread from one of its docks into the river. The port, which handles around 60 to 80 ships per day, could not determine how long the suspension would hold or how many ships would also be affected. The oil spill was discovered during a bunkering operation and has since been contained.
