The New York State Attorney General's Office has approved the $5.9 million sale of the 441 Willoughby Avenue, Brooklyn property to 441 Garden LLC, led by Mendel Fleischman, following a previous $4.3 million offer from developer Tomer Erlich who sparked outrage when he abruptly razed the circa-1890s mansion. The AG's office initially rejected the deal, raising concerns about the organization's management and its failure to file IRS tax forms since 2014. The sale will be held in an escrow account and cannot be accessed without approval from the attorney general or State Supreme Court.
