The National Weather Service has issued a Fire Weather Watch for parts of Northeast Florida and Southeast Georgia, citing potential erratic fire behavior and difficulty to contain or suppress. The warning comes as wildfires continue to burn in Nassau and Putnam counties. The Florida Division of Forestry reported that a brush fire in Nassaw has grown to 500 acres and is 40 percent contained. The fire is also threatening six structures in the heavily wooded area.
