The "upgraded" versions of the 1989 Super Mario Bros. cartoon are now being aired on MeTV ahead of the release of The Super Mario Galaxy Movie. The results of these upgrades, which were posted on social media, are disappointing. The animated series, which premiered in 1989, featured WWE Hall of Fame wrestler "Captain" Lou Albano and actor "Napoleon" as voices of Mario and Luigi and featured numerous guest stars such as Cyndi Lauper, Ernie Hudson, Magic Johnson, and The Legend of Zelda.
