Several key speakers include FDA Deputy Commissioner Kyle Diamantas and White House senior adviser Calley Means, who are expected to discuss the shifting priorities of Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr.'s MAHA movement, aimed at tackling the chronic disease epidemic, may influence discussions about the White House's relationship with MAHA. The White House drug pricing deals are also expected to influence the discussion. Bipartisan senators are urging the Government Accountability Office to investigate whether pharmaceutical companies use coupons as a tactic to steer patients away from lower-cost generic medications. They argue that drug manufacturer coupons lead to patients paying more for their medications in the long-term.
