The latest episode of Grey's Anatomy has hinted that the futures of Dr. Miranda Bailey (Chandra Wilson) and Dr. Benson Kwan (Harry Shum Jr.) at Grey Sloan Memorial are uncertain due to an FDA investigation regarding Kwan's use of an experimental hydrogel without her consent. Despite Bailey's attempts to cover up for Kwan, her husband Dr. Ben Warren (Jason Winston George) and doctor Richard Webber (James Pickens Jr.) became suspicious of the patient's improvement, despite Miranda maintaining that Durston was not given the drug. Durston later developed a pulmonary embolism and his son revealed that his father did in fact receive the drug. This revelation comes after Kevin McKidd and Kim Raver confirmed their departures at the end of the season. This is not the first time the series has had a significant shake-up, with several notable characters leaving the show.
