Blair Fetter, former Netflix executive, has restructured Amazon MGM Studios' Worldbuilding & Genre Series team, resulting in expanded responsibilities for Tom Lieber and several changes, including the departure of Matthew King and Adrienne O'Riain. The changes were announced in a company memo, which Fetter stated was about positioning the team with greater autonomy as they continue developing ambitious, global series. The Worldbuilding Series department was formed as part of the scripted team realignment led by new Head of Global Television Peter Friedlander. Fetter also announced that two senior executives in the worldbuilding/genre arena had joined Fetter's team reporting to him.
