The states where daylight saving time legislation has already died this year

State lawmakers in over half the U.S. have considered bills this year that would end the twice-year practice of changing clocks. At least one bill in a dozen states has already died. In Georgia, a bill aimed at shifting the state from the current Eastern time zone to the Atlantic time zone, would have resulted in year-round standard time. However, the House adjourned without a follow-up vote. Other bills, including bills calling for permanent standard time in Washington, Tennessee, and California, failed to pass. Several seasonal time change-related bills are still under consideration in Congress.
