The interactive "Singalong 'The Sound of Music" is coming to Bergen County, New Jersey, for two nights at the American Dream retail/entertainment complex in East Rutherford. The event, which first toured Europe and the US in the 1990s, draws fans of the Oscar-winning musical that starred Julie Andrew and Christopher Plummer. The three-hour film follows the story of an imaginative nun sent away from her abbey to become a governess for seven children of a widowed Naval captain. The film is based on the true story of the Von Trapp family who escaped to America in 1938 and were threatened by the Nazis after they refused several requests from them.
