Rapper Ye (formerly Kanye West) has settled a lawsuit filed by Memphis rappers who claimed that his song "Vultures 1" featured illegal samples from a 1994 song by the artists Criminal Manne (Vanda Watkins), DJ Squeeky (Hayward Ivy) and the late Kilo G. The lawsuit claimed that Ye committed "blatant" copyright infringement by sampling their song on his track, despite attempts to clear the samples legally. The terms of the settlement were not specified. This is part of many cases against Ye, including a high-profile case with the estate of Donna Summer that settled in 2024.
