Betty Christie, a 73-year-old woman, was killed when a tree fell on her home during a windstorm on March 13 in Jackson Township, Ohio. The tree fell exactly where Christie was lying on her bed and trapped her inside. Her family was told she died instantly. Rescuers had to cut through the roof to reach her, and she will be laid to rest on March 20. Christie retired from the Milford School District as a janitor and loved owls.
