BYU basketball coach Kevin Young has led the team to a turnaround after a three-game losing streak that saw them lose three games to mid-level Big 12 teams. The team's performance in the Big 12 tournament, which included a record-breaking 93 points in three games, has led to renewed optimism for the team. Star forward AJ Dybantsa set the single-tournament scoring record with 93 points, surpassing Kevin Durant's 92 points in the 2007 tournament. Despite a recent loss to Houston, the team's return to Provo was better than the last time BYU had visited the Midwest. Dybantantsa has now scored 859 points for the 23-11 team, which is now 6-5 in Big 12 tournaments.
