LAPD Union rescinds endorsement for LA City Attorney Feldstein Soto’s reelection campaign
Published on April 11, 2026.
The Los Angeles Police Protective League Board of Director has voted unanimously not to support City Attorney Hydee Feldstein Soto's reelection bid. This decision comes after her office revealed a major data breach involving law enforcement records. The LAPPL Board of Directors accused Soto of not being transparent about the breach and demanded that she remove their logo from her campaign website and not reference them in any voter communication or campaign platform. The union plans to open up the process again to endorse a new candidate. No other city applications or systems were impacted by the data breach, which was self-contained in an application without links or access to any department records or systems.
