The Trump administration is considering allowing billionaires to donate shares of stock in their companies to Trump Accounts. Currently, the program allows $1,000 into savings accounts for every child born between 2025 and 2028. The move could significantly expand the program's reach. Approximately 5 million children have been enrolled in Trump Accounts, with 1.2 million babies eligible for the $1k federal seed money. The Bank of New York Mellon Corporation will be a financial agent for Trump Accounts and develop a Trump Account app. All U.S. citizens born 2025 to 2028 qualify for the accounts, and all children born before 2025 who are under 18 will also be eligible for them. Only one Trump Account may be opened per child. However, rules regarding the funds can change once the child turns 18.
