McDonald's has announced a new version of its dollar menu, the "McValue 2.0." which will include items that cost $3 or less. The new menu will replace the current menu where customers can buy an item and add another for $1. The announcement comes as consumers increasingly express frustration over increasing prices from a brand traditionally viewed as affordable. According to Technomic, 36 percent of customers saw McDonald's as affordable in 2019, but only 18 percent saw it as affordable by 2024.
