Tax Relief Available For Seniors, Disabled Homeowners In West Hartford

The East Hartford town of West Hartford is offering tax relief to homeowners 65 or older or 100% disabled through Social Security, if they meet income limits. The maximum annual income for individuals is $46,300 for individuals and $56,500 for married couples. Applicants must apply in person at the Assessor’s Office and provide documentation of all 2025 income. The town is also accepting applications for its Local Elderly Homeowners Tax Freeze Program, available to residents aged 70 and older who owned and occupied their property as of Oct. 1, 2025, have lived in Connecticut for at least one year and meet the same income thresholds.
