Ireland v Wales: Nick Timoney happy his perseverance has paid off

Ireland's back row Nick Timoney, who made his Six Nations debut in 2021, has been introduced as a replacement in each of the three games in the 2026 Six Nations in the tournament, has made just four appearances since then, two of which were against the Maori All Blacks. Despite not starting in the competition, Timoney insists he is not concerned about his position and is grateful for the opportunities he has been given. He also acknowledges that he feels like he is playing a game rather than worrying too much about his selection.
