Beloved breakfast chain shuts down locations after 28 years

Rising prices have led many Americans to eat out less often, according to YouGov's U.S. Dining Out Report 2025. Over a third of American diners are eating less frequently than they did a year ago due to rising costs and a greater need to save financially. This has led to multiple restaurant closures, including those of Starbucks, Denny’s, and Wendy’'s. The report also revealed that 82% of Americans said restaurant prices have increased in the past 12 months. Meanwhile, popular breakfast chain Egg Works has decided to close two locations after 28 years. The closures were attributed to moving out of state and retirement as reasons for the closures.
