Dunia Sibomana-Rodriguez, a New York high school wrestler, survived a chimpanzee attack as a child in the Democratic Republic of the Congo at age 6. The attack killed his cousin and one of his brothers and left him with serious injuries to his mouth, cheeks, and ear. He came to the United States for multiple reconstructive surgeries and was adopted by Long Beach High School wrestling coach Miguel Rodriguez and his wife Marissa. Since then, Siboana-Robriguez has won three state championships and and a national title.
