Alice the Elephant gets loose, takes weekend stroll at Albuquerque’s BioPark Zoo

The ABQ BioPark Zoo in New Mexico has had its opening delayed by a half hour due to Alice the Elephant wandering off the premises. The incident occurred around 7:30 a.m. when she was spotted on a public walkway outside her living quarters. No other elephants were involved. The zoo was closed at the time of the incident, and staff quickly managed to repair the damaged steel stationary section of the fence.
