Winds will increase across New Mexico starting Wednesday, bringing high fire danger. Southwesterly winds are expected to gust 25 to 45 mph across the state, which will cause concern from Albuquerque to northern and eastern New Mexico. Temperatures will remain unseasonably warm for this time of year. However, a cold front will move into northern New Mexico, bringing temperatures closer to normal. The wind will be lighter Friday, but potentially gusts could reach 40 mph.
