Taiwan February export orders miss forecasts

Taiwanese export orders fell less than expected in February, with demand for its AI and technology products decreasing due to the Iran war. The Ministry of Economic Affairs reported a 23.8% increase from the previous year, lower than analysts' expectations. Orders for goods from Taiwan, home to the world's largest contract chipmaker TSMC, are considered a crucial indicator of global technology demand. For March, the ministry expects export orders to rise between 38.4% and 42% year-on-year.
