Heavy rain, storms knock out power, down trees

Showers and thunderstorms moved through the Tri-State overnight, causing heavy rainfall and knocking out power, causing over 2,300 Duke Energy customers to lose power. A Severe Thunderstorm Watch ended at 4 a.m. Tuesday for most of the region, followed by a Flash Flood Warning for parts of southeastern Indiana and Northern Kentucky. The weather is expected to improve as cooler temperatures rise, with high temperatures expected to reach the low 70s by Tuesday afternoon.
