Windy Thursday before cold front comes into New Mexico

High winds, fire risk, and warm afternoon temperatures are expected for New Mexico on Thursday. Sustained winds are expected to reach up to 25-30 mph, with gusts east of the Central Mountain Chain potentially reaching up to 20-40 mph. Crosswinds along northwest-to-southeast-oriented roadways may pose a hazard. Red Flag Warnings have been issued for several areas, including Roosevelt County, De Baca County, Guadalupe County, Cevallos, and San Miguel County.
