On his way: 2026 No. 1 Draft pick Cholowsky kicks off pro career at High-A

The 2026 MLB Draft pick, Cholowsky, has made his professional debut for High-A Winston-Salem. The 21-year-old Arizona native made his debut in an otherwise uneventful game, despite not being hitless in five plate appearances. Cholowski was selected first overall by the White Sox in the 2026 Major League Draft, making him the third UCLA player ever selected No. 1 overall. He and the club agreed to a record-breaking $10.35 million signing bonus.
