NASA is aiming to launch its Artemis 2 mission on April 1 to fly astronauts around the moon. The launch window opens at 6:24 p.m. EDT (2324 GMT) and extends for two hours. If the launch is delayed or scrubbed, there are more opportunities for liftoff until April 6. The Artemis 2 will be the first crewed mission of NASA's program, aiming to return astronauts to the surface of and establish a base there. The mission is designed as a second test flight for Orion, which has previously flown beyond Earth orbit without a crew. However, weather conditions could pose a significant obstacle.
